TRANSPORTATION:

UPV Miag-ao Campus is a 40-minute drive south of Iloilo in the island of Panay in the Visayas region of the Philippines.

Travel time to Miagao is approximately one hour from Iloilo City by Bus or Jeepney. You will easily recognize the town by its famous Miagao Church which is partly visible as you approach from around 1 kilometer away as it sits atop the hill which is the town center. Further along the highway after you’ve passed by the church and a downhill road, at approximately 500 meters away from the church, is the entrance to the UPV Miagao Campus. This is on the right side of the highway.

OPTIONS

  1. A free Bus ride will be provided for the 1st 200 pax who will register for the free bus ride in Salomon stores. Each participant will be provided with a bus ticket attached to their bib. No ticket, no ride. Pick up will be at UPV Iloilo Campus. (time of pickup will be announced later). The same bus will ferry the participants from Miagao back to Iloilo after the race.
  1. Take a jeepney or a taxi to Iloilo Supermarket and look for the Jeepney terminal to Miagao. the Miagao Jeepney will directly drop you to the event venue (just tell the driver or conductor you are headed to UPV Covered Court. Regular fare is 50 pesos. No extra charge for the drop-off.
  1. Take a jeep or taxi to Molo Bus terminal. Ride a southbound Bus to Antique and inform the conductor you are headed to UPV Miagao. Regular fare is 44 pesos. Alight in Miag-ao church and ride a tricycle asking the driver to drop you off at the UPV Covered court.

ACCOMMODATION

Runners may book UPV Dorm and Dormtelles for an overnight stay at a reasonable fee. These dorms come with complete facilities which are only walking distance near the Start/Finish Line area.

Course Description

This is the full loop for intermediate to advanced runners starting from UPV Covered Court in Miag-ao campus and thru the different barangays of Miag-ao. Do not underestimate this route: gravel or dirt roads, fire trails, river crossings and single tracks. You’ll be going over a series of rolling hills leading to the big climb to Udok. You’ll be passing the barangays of Malagyan, Paroon, Tambong, Banbanan, Tumagbok, Ticdalan and Diday. Most of the route are trails used primarily by locals to travel from one barangay to their farmlands and neighboring areas.

Course Conditions

There will be gravel or dirt roads, fire trails, river crossings and single tracks. However, the course may be affected by weather conditions before or during the race.
